Paraskevidekatriaphobia: A morbid, irrational fear of Friday the 13th. Also known as friggatriskaidekaphobia.

I'm not really sure how some people can be afraid of a day. I mean, it's just a day. If you're going to be afraid of something, make it something genuinely creepy, like clowns or soft sculpture mannequins.

Look at those things. They look like shriveled up dead people. Yeesh.

Yeah, but they're not as bad as those dolls that stand in the corner. They don't have faces.

I like Friday the 13th. I'm not superstitious about anything. But the U.S. Navy doesn't even launch ships on the 13th. Buncha pansies.

I'm willing to say that they are not as scary as soft sculpture people. The one in the picture isn't as bad as the ones they used to stick in furniture stores, because those ones used to have black, beady eyes.

I remember the Dupont Stainmaster Carpet commercials with Don Rickles as a talking carpet, but I don't remember a talking chair. Perhaps it's for the best.

ok one of your "slackers" is posting. *SIGH* The big deal with friday 13 goes back to superstition. ASK NYPINTA about the time in the canoe on the lake at some back woods music festivel and she was convinced that "FREEDIE or JASON" whatever his name was... was in the water after us.

oh yea, I used to make those people like you have posted. out of pantyhose... and put my work uniforms on them and a) drive around with them as a passanger, b) leave them in the office at work so the next shift manager would be scared to death, c) put in the bathroom to scare other house hold members needlessly
