I only stayed there a year and I felt like crap for leaving. I love my grandmother, but part of the reason I left, and why I'm still a little afraid to live there even now, is the fear that I might go in to wake her up one morning and find her dead. I lived in my aunt's house for about 3 months while she recovered from breaking her back. But I moved back out when she got home from the nursing home. She probably would have liked me to stay, but I was afraid I'd be bugging her all the time with my odd hours.
